The Department of Communicative Disorders at The University of Alabama offers a preprofessional undergraduate program and graduate-level program in speech-language pathology. Our program is accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. For students with an undergraduate background, requirements for the graduate program can be completed in five semesters. Students completing the master's degree will also have met the academic and practicum requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and for a license in the state of Alabama.
