The course of study leading to the Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences consists of beginning courses in the liberal arts and the basic sciences which are designed to prepare the student for the scientific study of those processes which enable humans to speak, hear and understand. Through advanced courses, students learn about normal processes and methods for identifying and improving disordered communication. The undergraduate program in Speech and Hearing Sciences prepares the student for graduate work in Speech Pathology and Audiology. Students who complete the bachelor's degree are not automatically admitted to the graduate program.
