The graduate program in Clinical Speech Pathology reflects a comprehensive, up-to-date array of academic course work and clinical practicum which mirrors current needs in the field. It consists of 45 semester hours of academic course work, 6 hours of practicum, and a 12 hour externship. Students who have completed some graduate course work elsewhere may transfer in up to 15 semester hours. NAU's master's program is accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Graduates receive a Master of Science (M.S.) in Clinical Speech Pathology. The program has a strong clinical thrust which places a high premium on addressing the communicative and learning needs of a culturally and linguistically diverse region.
